8D Audio Converter FAQ

What is an 8D audio converter?
An 8D audio converter adds a moving stereo effect to music or recordings. The sound shifts smoothly between the left and right ears, often with some reverb. It remains a normal two-channel audio file, not an eight-channel format.
Do I need headphones to hear 8D audio?
Headphones are recommended because they make changes between left and right channels easier to hear. Speakers can play the file too, but room acoustics and speaker placement may make the rotating effect less noticeable.
Can I convert a mono recording into 8D audio?
Yes. A mono recording can be placed into a stereo output with sound that moves between the left and right channels. The effect creates movement, but it cannot restore original stereo details that were never recorded.
What do Rotation Speed and Rotation Depth mean?
Rotation Speed controls how often the sound completes a left-to-right-and-back cycle. Rotation Depth controls the strength of that movement. Lower depth is subtler, while a higher value makes the motion more obvious.
What is the difference between the 8D presets?
Gentle uses slower movement and lighter processing, while Classic gives a balanced rotating effect. Intense is faster and stronger. Dreamy uses a slower rotation with more reverb. You can adjust each setting after choosing.
Does 8D audio improve the quality of a song?
No. This effect changes stereo placement and adds optional reverb; it cannot restore missing audio detail. Movement depends on the source: opposite-phase channels may show little or no rotation, and stronger depth can reduce their level.
Can I listen before downloading the final audio?
Yes. Use the built-in player to switch between Original and Preview, then adjust the controls while you listen. The final file is re-encoded, so its sound may differ slightly from the real-time browser preview.
Is my audio uploaded to a server?
No. Your audio stays in your browser while the effect is previewed and exported with local processing. The site may download its audio engine code, but it does not need to upload your selected audio file to make an 8D mix.
