Add Lyrics to a Song

Keep plain-text lyrics with a song by editing its Lyrics tag. If the file has multiple language or description entries, choose the entry you want to change. These lyrics have no synchronized timing and are not fetched from an online service.

  • Type or paste unsynchronized lyrics into the Lyrics field.
  • Choose an existing entry when several are present.
  • Edit the text without adding lyric timing.

Lyrics

A quiet road A new beginning

MP3 Tag Editor FAQ

What can I edit with an MP3 metadata editor?
You can update the title, artist, album, album artist, genre, year and track number. The editor also supports comments, unsynchronized lyrics and front-cover artwork. These edits leave the original MP3 audio frames unchanged.
Will editing ID3 tags reduce audio quality?
No. The tool modifies supported metadata regions rather than decoding and re-encoding the MP3 audio frames. The original audio data stays unchanged, although the overall file size may change when artwork or tags are added.
How do I edit MP3 album art?
Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB, with sides up to 8192 px and up to 16,777,216 pixels in total. WebP is converted to JPEG; transparent areas become white. The image keeps its proportions and is embedded in your next MP3 download.
What is the difference between Artist and Album Artist?
Artist identifies the performer of a particular track. Album Artist usually identifies the main artist or group for an album, which can help music players keep compilation tracks together when individual songs feature different performers.
Does the editor keep tags I do not change?
The editor is designed to preserve other supported ID3 frames, including custom metadata, when you edit a field. Some unusual or protected tag structures may not be safely writable; in those cases, the tool reports the limitation instead of deleting information.
Can I edit lyrics in an MP3 file?
You can enter or edit unsynchronized lyrics directly in the Lyrics field. If a file contains several language or description entries, choose which entry to edit. The tool does not fetch lyrics online or create synchronized lyric timing.
Why might some MP3 files or covers not work?
MP3 files can contain older ID3 versions, damaged tags, unusual frame flags, or oversized artwork. Your music player may also use cached artwork. The editor checks supported structures and avoids saving changes it cannot verify safely.
Is my MP3 uploaded, and will it overwrite the original file?
No. Your MP3 and edits stay in the browser. Download Edited MP3 writes and verifies your current edits, then downloads a new file. The original file on your device is unchanged. Reset Changes restores the tags read from the selected source.
