Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-14

AudioBento offers browser-based audio tools. This Privacy Policy explains the difference between processing audio on your device and the information exchanged when you visit or interact with our website.

Your audio stays on your device

The audio tools currently offered on AudioBento process the files you select in your browser, using browser media APIs and, when necessary, FFmpeg WebAssembly. This includes local editing, conversion, compression, and audio extraction from video.

  • Choosing, previewing, processing, or downloading a file with these local tools does not upload the source audio or exported result to AudioBento's servers or an AI provider.
  • When you use the voice recorder, audio is captured and processed by your browser, subject to the microphone permission you grant. It is not sent to AudioBento for audio processing.
  • Files, previews, and results can be held temporarily in browser memory. They may disappear when you replace a file, reload the page, or close the tab. Your browser may separately cache the site's application code and processing engine.
  • We do not maintain a server-side library of audio files created by these local tools.

Local processing does not mean that browsing AudioBento is anonymous or offline. Loading pages, reporting errors, submitting feedback, and using enabled analytics can involve network requests. Those activities are explained below.

Information we receive

  • Website and security data: requests to the site, IP addresses, browser and device information, requested URLs, approximate network location, and security or diagnostic records. Hosting and security providers may process these to serve and protect the site.
  • Usage events: if analytics is enabled, page visits and actions such as starting or completing processing, previewing a result, or clicking Download. The custom audio-operation events in the site do not include the audio file itself or its filename.
  • Feedback and support: the message and contact information you choose to send, together with information needed to deliver and investigate the request.
  • Optional account or transaction data: if we later enable account or paid features, information required for sign-in, account management, payment status, or customer support. These services are not required to use the current local audio tools.

Analytics, session replay, and cookies

Depending on which integrations are enabled for the website, we may use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, PostHog, Plausible, Umami, and error-monitoring services. Not every integration present in the application's code is necessarily active.

Analytics services may receive page visits, interaction events, browser information, identifiers, and cookies or similar browser storage. If session replay is enabled, a provider may record how you interact with the webpage, including clicks, scrolling, and elements shown on screen. A session replay is a record of webpage interactions, not a recording of your audio file or microphone stream.

We use masking on some file-related interface elements to reduce exposure in session replay. However, masking may not cover every visible filename, on-screen detail, or third-party capture method. We do not intentionally include audio content or filenames in our custom usage events. Technical error reports are configured to exclude file content and other unnecessary personal details.

AudioBento and its providers may use cookies or local storage for site preferences, security, analytics, and optional sign-in functions. You can manage or clear this data in your browser. Blocking storage or third-party scripts may affect website features or measurement.

Optional cloud features and payments

The current local audio tools do not require an account or payment. If separate account-based, AI, cloud-processing, or paid services become available, they may need to send information you choose to submit to our servers and service providers. Such features should explain that transfer before you use them. Do not assume that a future online feature has the same processing behavior as a local audio tool.

How information is used and shared

We use website and support information to provide the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, measure usage, and respond to requests. The parties that may receive this information are our hosting and security providers, enabled analytics or error-monitoring providers, and providers supporting any optional service you choose to use. These providers may process information in other countries.

We do not need to receive your original audio or processed output to operate the existing local audio tools. This statement does not apply to content you voluntarily include in a feedback message or a future, separately identified online feature.

Retention and security

Because local audio files are not uploaded for processing, AudioBento does not retain them in a server-side audio library. Temporary browser data remains subject to your browser's behavior and your actions.

Retention of website logs, analytics, session replays, and support messages depends on the relevant service and provider settings, operational needs, and applicable law. We do not claim that all categories have the same retention period. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle, but no online service can guarantee complete security.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can use the current local audio tools without registering, clear browser cookies and site data, and control microphone access through your browser. If you prefer to limit optional analytics or session replay, browser privacy controls and content-blocking settings may help.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information, or to object to certain processing. For a request, a question about enabled analytics, or a concern about session replay, contact support@audiobento.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request involving account information.

Children

AudioBento is a general-purpose audio utility website and is not designed specifically for children. If you are not old enough to consent to using an online service in your location, involve a parent or legal guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The date above reflects the latest revision. We will provide additional notice where required by law.
