Audio Converter

Convert multiple audio files to MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG or AAC. Choose one output setting, then download files or a ZIP locally.

How to convert audio files

  1. 1

    Choose your files

Choose or drop your audio files. Check the list and remove anything you do not need before starting conversion.

  2. 2

    Choose one output format

Select one output format for the batch. Adjust MP3, M4A or AAC bitrate, or choose a Vorbis quality level.

  3. 3

    Convert and download

Convert your files and check each output. With one file, use Download to save the result directly. With multiple files, use Download ZIP to collect successful results, or download each row separately.

One workspace for audio conversion

Choose a common output setting, follow each file, and keep control of your local downloads.

01

Choose a format for your next task

Choose MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG or AAC. Completed files stay available when you change settings. MP3 may change the sample rate or channel count for compatibility; adjusted results include a notice.

  • Six output formats in one page
  • Bitrate or Vorbis quality controls
  • Explicit PCM precision rules

Prepare audio to share

Convert recordings to MP3, M4A or AAC for sharing. Choose from the same six bitrate options to balance file size and quality, and keep your selection when switching between these formats.

  • Choose a bitrate for your recording
  • Keep completed files ready to download
  • Download a file without an account

Prepare files for audio editing

Convert recordings to WAV for an editor, or use FLAC for lossless storage. Supported PCM precision is preserved. Converting a lossy source does not recover missing detail, and unsupported precision shows an error.

  • WAV output for editing workflows
  • FLAC for supported integer PCM
  • Unsupported precision shows a clear error

Collect converted recordings in one ZIP

Bring recordings from different sources into one output format. Add more files without converting completed items again. Download all successful results as a ZIP, including earlier batches; failed files stay out.

  • Convert files one at a time locally
  • Retry unfinished files with saved settings
  • Keep completed downloads after cancellation

Audio converter questions

Which formats can I convert?
Choose MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG or AAC as the output format. Input support depends on the file’s actual container and codec. M4A output uses AAC, OGG uses Vorbis, and standalone AAC uses ADTS. Unsupported files show an error.
Does conversion improve audio quality?
Conversion does not recover detail lost in compressed audio. WAV and FLAC describe lossless encoding, not improved source quality. WAV keeps supported PCM precision; FLAC accepts integer PCM up to 24-bit and rejects float or 32-bit PCM.
How many files can I convert?
The list allows 10 files on desktop or 5 on mobile, with combined input budgets of 200 MB and 100 MB. There is no fixed duration cutoff. Output growth and device memory can still prevent conversion or ZIP creation.
Which settings does Retry use?
Retry uses the settings saved for that file’s latest attempt. Convert audio uses current settings and original source files when an output setting changes. Existing downloads remain available until a valid new result replaces them; failure or cancellation keeps them.
What happens when I cancel?
Cancel stops the active conversion and marks queued files as cancelled. Completed files keep their downloads. Retry an unfinished file with its submitted settings, or use Convert audio to process unfinished files with current settings.
What goes into Download ZIP?
With one file in your list, Download saves the audio result directly. With multiple files, Download ZIP includes every successful result, including earlier conversions and retries. Unfinished, failed and cancelled files are skipped. Size and Files describe those results. Resource limits may require individual downloads.
Why can I convert audio that will not preview?
Browser playback and the conversion engine support different codecs. If native playback fails, you can still attempt conversion. The engine checks the audio after you click Convert. Missing or invalid metadata causes a file error rather than a guessed duration.
Are my files uploaded or saved?
Your audio is processed locally and is not uploaded to a server or conversion API. The engine downloads on first use and may be cached. Local files and results do not survive refresh or navigation, so download anything you need before leaving.
