Background Music Mixing FAQ

How can I add BGM to audio online for free?
This free audio BGM mixer combines your main recording with a separate music file. Trim the music with its waveform or Start and End times, adjust both volumes, loop the selected section, and add optional fades. Preview before creating one MP3 or WAV to download.
How do I add background music to a voice recording and keep speech clear?
Start with the main audio at 100% and lower the music level until speech is easy to understand. The best balance depends on source loudness and frequency content, so listen to the mix instead of relying on one fixed percentage.
Will shorter music loop?
Yes. Loop Music is enabled by default. The selected music section repeats until the main track ends. Turn looping off to play the section once while the main audio continues.
Can I trim the music to fit my recording?
Yes. Drag the music waveform selection or enter Start and End times to keep one continuous section. The full file is selected by default. The main audio sets the output duration: longer selections are cut at its end, and shorter selections loop or stop according to Loop Music. Replacing the music resets the selection.
Can I fade the background music in or out?
Both fades start off at 0 seconds. Open Advanced to enable each fade and set its duration. Fades are limited to the used music length and combine when they overlap. The envelope runs across the full music bed without restarting on each loop.
Does the tool lower music automatically when I speak?
No. Automatic ducking is not included. Set the main and music volumes yourself and use Preview above the main audio to check clarity. The music follows your chosen level and fades; it does not respond to speech in the recording.
Why can a mix sound distorted?
Loud source audio and background music can combine to create high peaks. The mixer applies peak protection, which can change loud transients. Listen to the exported result, especially when the original files are already loud.
Are my audio files uploaded to a server?
No. Both files are read and mixed in your browser with local audio processing. The tool does not upload audio files to a server. Keep the tab open until processing finishes, then download the result to your device.
