Bring Your Video and Audio Together

Combine video with audio, balance the original sound, and trim or loop the added track to fit your clip.

01

Add Music to Video Without Losing Original Sound

Add background music to video while keeping dialogue, ambient sound, or other original audio. Switch to Replace Audio in Video when the new track should be the only sound.

  • Keep the video’s original soundtrack
  • Replace the existing soundtrack
  • Preview the video and audio together
02

Set the Balance Between Both Tracks

Control how much of each track you hear. Keep speech clear over quieter music, or bring a new soundtrack forward without changing the video’s picture.

  • Adjust each active track independently
  • Set volumes from 0% to 200%
  • Keep your settings when switching modes
03

Trim and Loop Music to Fit Your Clip

Select the part of your music you want to use. Loop that section to cover the video, or let it end while the picture continues. Fades shape the outer edges of the added soundtrack.

  • Trim added audio with a waveform or times
  • Loop your selection for the full video
  • Fade the added track at its outer edges
04

Add Sound to Video with Your Own Voiceover

Add audio over video for a tutorial, presentation, or personal clip. Your selected recording and video remain on your device throughout the mixing process.

  • Use your own voice recording
  • Replace sound on a silent clip
  • Process files inside your browser

Add Audio to Video FAQ

How do I add audio to a video?
To add audio to a video clip, choose your video and one audio file. Trim the added track with the waveform or Start and End times. Use Keep Audio in Video to retain the original sound, or Replace Audio in Video to swap it. Preview your mix, then export an MP4.
How do I add music to a video?
Choose a music file and select the section you want to use. Select Keep Audio in Video and lower Added Audio Volume until the original speech is clear. Loop Audio repeats the selected section, while fades shape only the added soundtrack.
Can I replace video audio or add sound to a silent video?
Yes. Replace Audio in Video removes the original audio from the output and uses your added track. Videos without an audio track also work. For a silent source, the mode and original-volume controls disappear and the added volume starts at 100%.
What happens when the audio is shorter or longer than the video?
The video determines the output duration. You can trim the added audio with the waveform or Start and End times. A selection longer than the video is cut at the video’s end. A shorter selection repeats when Loop Audio is on. When it is off, the selection ends and the video continues with no added sound.
Do fades repeat each time the audio loops?
No. Fade In and Fade Out apply to the outer edges of the added soundtrack. With looping on, the fades follow the full video duration. With looping off, they follow the portion of added audio used. Original audio is not faded.
Which video and audio formats can I use?
The video must contain an H.264 picture stream that can be copied into MP4. A supported container extension alone does not prove compatibility. Added audio accepts MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC, subject to the processing engine’s available decoders.
What video file will I download?
The result is an MP4 with copied H.264 video and a new AAC audio track. You can select a video up to 2 GB. Exports have a separate memory budget, so a large video may be accepted for preview but too large to export on your device.
Are my video and audio uploaded to a server?
No. File validation, preview, mixing, and video creation run locally in your browser. The processing engine may download when first needed, but your selected media stays on your device. No account or payment is required.
